02. Some Things I’ve Built

Scial

Scial

Scial app is a market research platform that provides objective and reliable insights for investors through A.I. powered sentiment analysis on live social media data. This project exposed me to pretty much every problem a developer faces, when taking a product from idea to live production.

Chrome Extension

Chrome Extension

Intelligence tool for Amazon marketplace that scrapes and analyzes search result pages, to provide competitive analysis for e-commerce sellers, such as keyword reccomendations.

C-Cash

C-Cash

A simple proof-of-work cryptocurrency that was developed as part of my data structures & algorithms class. The cryptocurrency is implemented in C, using a doubly linked-list for the blockchain, and Sha-1 algorithm for hashing records. This project taught me a lot about data structures & algorithms, like blockchain and hashing, as well as software design patterns.

WeeklyEdible

WeeklyEdible

WeeklyEdible is an online media & newsletter project focused on finance and technology, targeted towards young investors. It's a simple flask app that handles email subscription forms. It leverages Mailchimp's API to store emails, eliminating database cost. I've written over 150 research and educational articles on different technologies, trends, and startups.

03. Places I've Worked

Ethos

Ethos

Date: May 2022 - May 2024
Role: Full-Stack Software Engineer

I experienced enormous growth as an engineer at Ethos, where I was given the opportunity to not just overcome technical challenges and build awesome products, but have a valued say in all aspects of the development process, including architecture, product design, technology stack, and agile methodologies. I engineered a platform enabling brands to deploy white-label apps in 1-click, create loyalty programs with various benefits, and mint them as real world assets on-chain, all integrated with their Shopify stores. I architected features with a strong focus on software design principles, ensuring high scalability and performance, while minimizing costs and technical debt. Additionally, I integrated a wide range of services such as Stripe, Apple Pass, Shopify API, GoDaddy API, Azure, as well as different blockchains like Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow.

Esparkify

Esparkify

Date: Sept 2021 - May 2022
Role: Full-Stack Software Engineer

At Esparkify, I improved my development skills tremendously. My involvement and ownership had direct contributions to all all aspects of the code base. I went from an intern working on one bug to getting promoted to full time, launching the main platform, publishing a chrome extension, designing and implementing scalable cloud architecture, integrating a new API, and writing technical documentation for the team.

Kimbo Design

Kimbo Design

Date: Sept 2020 - Nov 2020
Role: Full-Stack Developer Intern

At Kimbo Design, I had the opportunity to make websites for businesses and public-sector, that would be used by thousands of users every day. During my time here, I had a lot of practice writing code to build and maintain custom websites for businesses. I learned good practices for making secure, responsive, and lightweight websites.

Cisco

Cisco

Date: May 2018 - Aug 2018, May 2019 - Aug 2019
Role: Systems Engineer Intern

During my role at Cisco, I was exposed to a wide range of technologies, products, skills, and people. From refactoring code for a WLAN controller that would be presented to Microsoft, to developing a full-stack internal web-app for employees, hacking servers for testing, visiting Silicon Valley, networking with executives, and selling cybersecurity licenses to public sector clients - I got to learn it all.
